Halifax, Nova Scotia
Halifax is the capital of Nova Scotia and a busy port city on the East coast. Many of its 275,000 residents are part of marine commerce activity in the Maritimes. The natural gas production platforms on Sable Island and the Atlantic oil exploration operations are both supported by activites in Halifax. The port of Halifax is also the eastern terminus of the Canadian National Railway, making it an important link in the railway network.
